NRG Promotions – About Us

NRG Promotions is a North East England rave brand with roots stretching back to the early 1990s, born at the height of the region’s underground dance music explosion. Founded by Steven Alan Leck and inspired by the legacy of his father Alan Leck, NRG emerged from a time when rave culture was built from the ground up, driven by passion, community, and a shared love for the music. What began as grassroots promotion quickly became part of a wider movement that helped shape the identity of raving across the North East.

Deeply embedded in the heritage of the local scene, NRG Promotions represents more than just events. Over the years, it has evolved into a platform for multiple brands and concepts, each contributing something unique to the culture. Projects such as The NRG Project have helped nurture and introduce new talent, with Steven playing a key role in supporting artists who have gone on to become recognised names in the wider rave scene. De Ja Vu has offered a more music-focused experience, placing emphasis on DJs and sound over heavy MC presence, while The Colosseum revival in 2021 reconnected a new generation with one of the region’s most iconic rave institutions. Alongside this, The Love Decade has brought a more laid-back, nostalgic energy, and the upcoming F.O.M.O Festival continues to push the brand forward into new territory.
